3:6:9 Video

This is a video my partner, Celena  and I created for an assignment called  3:6:9 video. The point of the assignment was to create a video of someone doing a simple task and to get 3 different shots, angles and distance shots. My partner and I chose someone who was playing the violin, we thought it was simple yet pretty. I think the weakness of the video is the lighting, some of the shots are very dark making it hard for the audience to see the subject. I think the strength of the video is the emotion we were able to convey through the video. We were easily able to communicate the emotion of sadness through the video with the music, black and white filter and speed of clips. As I said before we chose a sad song to match the sad theme of the video. We chose a song called "Lucy Meets Mr.Tumnus" it's from the The Chronicles of Narnia movie and it fit perfectly for the theme. We both really wanted a slow simple instrumental piece that had a lead violin which is why we chose that song.We didn't make that many editing decision to make the clips match the music we just added in the music and the clips matched the music really well. We did slow down the clips to match the pace of the music. We chose the fading in and out transitions to help create the sad and mellow theme of the video.I usually don't like working in partners or groups because usually one person in the group does all the work but me and my partner shared the work load really well. We both enjoyed working on the project and it was nice to have another person's opinion instead of just one.
